Gonstead Chiropractic

Chiropractic

At Salutogenesis Chiropractic, we understand that true health comes from the inside out.

Chiropractic is a science, art, and philosophy that studies the relationship between the nervous system and the health of the body. Many people consider chiropractors to be “back doctors” or “bone doctors,” but that is only partially true. Yes, we do work with the spine, but only as an avenue to reach the nervous system. The fact is, Doctors of Chiropractic are really doctors of the nervous system!

Chiropractic is a drug-free, holistic health care solution that allows the body to heal itself by allowing the nervous system to function better. When nerve interference is removed with precise and specific chiropractic adjustments, healthy cell metabolism, organ function, and mental and physical well-being are restored. According to research, that means more energy, better movement, stronger immune system, and improved overall function.

More and more people are choosing chiropractic as a holistic approach to maintaining their families health!

Gonstead Technique

Gonsead Technique

Our patients travel from all over New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania to experience the Gonstead Technique. The science behind this world-class technique results in the most accurate, specific, and precise approach in evaluating and adjusting the spine.

Because the spinal column is a dynamic structure affecting the entire body, the Gonstead Technique is focused on the health of the disc and takes special care to specific adjustments that do not utilize any rotational forces while adjusting.

This valuable and detailed analysis includes instrumentation, static palpation, motion palpation, visualization, and spinal imaging followed by adjusting the spine and extremities.

Through this comprehensive, proactive approach to correcting the spine, we find that the entire body begins functioning better as a whole. There is clinical logic to every decision made for every patient. This ensures that results are achieved leading to satisfied patients with transformed health and ultimately, changed lives.

Precise Analysis

with X-rays

Precise Analysis

The Gonstead Chiropractor goes beyond what many chiropractors consider a spinal assessment by conducting a thorough analysis of your spine using five criteria to detect the presence of a misalignment.

  • Visualization: Is the first step and serves as a way to cross reference all the other findings. We are experts in looking for subtle changes in your posture and movement, which could indicate any problems.

  • Instrumentation: The thermocouple detects uneven distributions of heat along the spine which can be indicative of inflammation and nerve pressure. This instrument is guided down the length of your back and feels like two fingers gliding down each side of your spine.

  • Static Palpation: This is simply the process of feeling (or palpating) your spine in a stationary (or static) position. We are searching for the presence of swelling (or edema), tenderness and any abnormal texture or tightness in the muscles and other tissues of your back.

  • Motion Palpation: This process involves feeling the spine while moving and bending it at various angles. This shows us where there is fixation or poor/aberrant motion in a joint.

  • X-ray Analysis: Imaging enables a Gonstead Chiropractor to visualize the entire structure of your spine. This is helpful in evaluating posture, joint and disc integrity, vertebral misalignments and ruling out any pathologies, or recent fractures that may be present or contributing to the patient’s condition. These full-spine radiographs are taken in the standing, weight-bearing position to fully substantiate the examination findings.

Specific Adjustment

Specific Adjustment

Due to using the five criteria, the Gonstead chiropractor is able to provide a very specific and precise adjustment unlike other chiropractors who don't utilize these criteria.

Our team is compromised of highly experienced Gonstead doctors that have helped many people regain their health and vitality. Our doctors are focused on immediate pain relief, but our approach goes a step further to correct the cause of the problem. Most patients under our care not only report relief from pain and discomfort, but as their spinal joints align and begin to heal, they notice other conditions clearing up as well.

Gonstead adjustments are incredible gentle, safe, and effective. Our patients range from young infants and children to those older in years, as well as, pregnant women and athletes.

Our patients have gotten results where other medical and chiropractic systems have failed. Most patients who come to our health center have experienced multiple visits at other chiropractic offices, physical therapists, and medical professionals without regaining their health and vitality. Our method and specialty is not to temporarily relieve you of pain, but to permanently correct the structure of your spine and change overall health outcomes.

NEUROScans

NEW!

Introducing state of the art scanning nervous system technology. These scans allow us to accurately detect dysfunction in your nervous system beyond what you may be feeling or experiencing symptomatically.

They use the most sensitive thermal technology to detect the output of the autonomic nervous system.

This is the first scan we do during the first visit and we can perform this scan on everyone from a 1-day old infant to mom and dad in a matter of minutes.

The main thing the NEUROScans help us find is the regional effects of subluxation and dysautonomia. Since the core functions of the autonomic nervous system are to coordinate and regulate the function of the digestive system, immune system, hormones, and so forth… this scan helps us really understand what’s going on in our patients who are struggling with things such as sleep disorders, digestion disorders, chronic sickness, ADHD, ear infections, constipation, tics, behavior, or just pain.
